The globally active British luxury travel provider CV Villas has published a list of the most frequently featured wineries on Instagram. It includes those estates that have been hashtagged in posts.
In first place on the list, which CV Villas calls "The World's Most Beautiful Wineries", is South Africa's Boschendal, between Franschhoek and Stellenbosch, with 95,501 hashtags. Close behind was Penfolds Magill Estate in Adelaide, Australia, with 94,761 hashtags, followed by Castello Di Amorosa in Napa Valley in the USA with its Tuscan-inspired castle and 88,784 hashtags. These three wineries offer restaurants or the facilities for events such as weddings, in addition to scenic appeal, which increases their popularity on social media platforms.
Donnafugata-Marsala from Italy is the first European winery in fourth place, followed by Catena Zapata (Argentina), Champagne Billecart-Salmon (France), Domaines Carneros (USA), Marques de Riscal (Spain), Château Margaux and Château La Coste (both France) and Wilson Creek Winery (USA).
