Tanja Strätz takes over the management of the Würzburg VDP winery Juliusspital****. The 50-year-old has been working at the winery for almost 20 years and was most recently the sales manager. Strätz succeeds Joachim Brand, who is leaving the company by mutual agreement. Brand had only taken over the position in November 2023 from long-time manager Horst Kolesch.
Foundation director Karsten Eck and business area manager Matthias Wallrapp emphasize Tanja Strätz's experience, her close connection to Juliusspital, and her significant role in sales development. Her achievements include the further development of the national and international brand profile of Juliusspital as well as the conception of the wine management concept "Wein.Welt.Juliusspital." The claim "Silvaner. Heimat. Liebe." also originates from her.
In her new role, Strätz aims to sustainably and value-oriented develop Juliusspital. She sees it as a core task to connect high quality, efficient resource use, and a clear stance.
Juliusspital manages around 180 hectares in Franconia and is Germany's second-largest winery. Its revenues have been securing the social tasks of the foundation for almost 450 years.
