In the 2020 Bordeaux Primeur campaign, significant price increases compared to 2019 are emerging after six weeks. Experts had expected only small to moderate increases after the first trends at the start. The turnaround is marked by the 2020 price of Château Lafite Rothschild. It will be released at €475 per bottle, an increase of almost 20 per cent over the 2019 (€396). The second wine, Carruades de Lafite, now costs €170 and thus becomes more than 17 per cent more expensive. The price of Château Evangile rises by more than 33 percent and costs €180.

The prices of many other wineries follow this line: Rauzan-Ségla (Margaux) will cost 66 euros, a price increase of more than 22 percent. Château Giscours will be 20 percent more expensive and will cost 40.80 euros. Most of the third-tier wineries, on the other hand, are raising their prices only slightly, in the range of zero to twelve percent.
