At Domaines Barons de Rothschild (DBR), Saskia de Rothschild becomes sole director, replacing Jean-Guillaume Prats. He had been managing the company together with her since 2017. Prats was director of Château Cos d'Estournel in Saint-Estèphe for 14 years and then president of Moët Hennessy. He will "devote himself to his family business and consulting", according to the DBR Group. Saskia de Rothschild thanks him: "Over the last four years, Jean-Guillaume Prats has helped breathe new life into all our domains and we are very grateful to him." But at the same time, she stresses that she wants "family management close to our vineyards and the men and women who work there every day to meet the social and environmental challenges of tomorrow". Rothschild has converted all of the DBR Group's French estates to organic viticulture. "In today's times of more extreme weather, this is a difficult task that requires a lot of resilience. But it is absolutely necessary," she stressed. In addition to Château Lafite Rothschild, the DBR Group also includes Châteaux L'Evangile, Duhart-Milon and Rieussec in Bordeaux, Domaine d'Aussières in Languedoc, Viña Los Vascos in Chile, the joint venture Bodegas Caro with Catena in Argentina and Domaine de Long Dai in China.
