Rosé wines from Provence have increased their sales by nine percent to 1.1 million hectolitres in 2021. This is confirmed by the figures of the Conseil Interprofessionnel des Vins de Provence (CIVP). After sales had declined by six percent in the Corona year 2020, exports in particular have recovered and increased by seven percent. Export sales amounted to 461,470 hectolitres in 2021.

The most important markets for Provençal rosé wines are Great Britain, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Sweden. The export growth is additionally accompanied by a value increase of four per cent per bottle. Despite the poor harvest in 2021, the CIVP speaks of a market potential of 152 million bottles this year.
