Roederer is making progress with the organic certification of its vineyards. According to the Champagne House, 115 of its 242 hectares of vineyards will be certified from March 2021. The vineyards are located in the Montagne de Reims, the Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs. The conversion of Roederer's production began 20 years ago under the responsibility of his winemaker Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon. In recent years, the conversion has progressed with new vineyard management. Areas for regeneration of the soil over long periods of time have remained untilled, and ecological cultivation methods and biodynamic techniques have been introduced. The Roederer team is currently working on the organic conversion for all its other vineyards.
