Former Formula 1 driver and TV presenter Ralf Schumacher will present his wines at the Badischer Winzerkeller at the wein.plus community stand on Monday, March 17.

Former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher is a big wine fan. For several years now, he has been having his own wine produced by the Slovenian cooperative Klet Brda for his brand "Schumacher Wines". In distribution, he cooperates with the Badischer Winzerkeller, which exhibits on a large area at the wein.plus community stand (Hall 1, A50–A60) and also serves Schumacher's wines there. Here, the former racing driver wants to meet customers and partners on Monday between 10 AM and 5 PM and hold discussions.

The large wein.plus community stand is designed as a wine bar. Here, you can leisurely discover wines from over 35 wineries from Germany, Bordeaux, and South Tyrol, as well as a sherry bodega, and get to know their producers. The concept of personally bringing traders, sommeliers, and B2B customers together with well-known and yet undiscovered winemakers has been developed by Heidi Heckel from Wine&Business Solutions in Switzerland. "At our stand, you can really explore extraordinary wines from different regions in one place. Guests meet ambitious winemakers with exciting stories without having to navigate through the halls," Heckel outlines her approach.

With wein.plus: discover unusual wines and winemakers
With this claim, wein.plus editor Carsten M. Stammen invites the professional audience to three discovery tastings daily. The wein.plus:walks last about 45 minutes each and start on all three trade fair days at 11 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM. Each walk is dedicated to a theme. These include, for example, "White wines beyond the mainstream," "The young talents of the Ahr," or "German Pinot Noir from four regions."

Stammen leads his guests to four to five stations at the wein.plus community stand, where the winemakers specifically present a special wine from their selection to the guests – background information and story included. With him, participants discover, for example, a Solaris from the northern German coast, a Viognier Réserve from the Pfalz, a Muscat Blanc Barrique from the Nahe, or a 1994 Sherry Amontillado.

On Tuesday, March 18, at 1 PM, Carsten M. Stammen will also serve Ralf Schumacher's Sparkling Rosé at the wein.plus:walk "Classics meet Niche." His guests will learn about the ambition with which the former racing driver works and how his wines are produced in Slovenia.
