From 12 to 14 November, ProWine China opens its doors to trade visitors in Shanghai. The organisers expect over 800 exhibitors with wines and spirits from 35 countries and regions at the fair. No other event on the Chinese mainland offers a comparable range, emphasises Messe Düsseldorf as organiser. The largest exhibiting nations at ProWine China 2019 are France and Italy, followed by Spain, Australia, Germany and Portugal. With an area of over 1,000 sqm, France's participation is higher than ever before. Italy's development was similar, with an increase of over 60 per cent compared to the previous year.

For Germany, the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) together with the German Wine Institute (DWI) announced the largest national investment to date at ProWine China. Austria (via Advantage Austria) and Portugal (via Wines of Portugal) have also significantly expanded their presence with national pavilions. Serbia and Bulgaria are also coming with their own national stands and are thus among the newcomers to the fair.
