ProWein introduces a new exhibition format in 2027 with the “Discovery Zone” for wine producers who have not yet participated in the Düsseldorf trade fair. Applications are now open until October 30. The offer is aimed at businesses that want to position themselves in the international market with independent wines, new management methods, or innovative concepts. The offer will include, among other things, orange wines, disease-resistant grape varieties, regenerative agriculture, and projects from newcomers.
Instead of classic individual stands, an open tasting and networking area is planned. Participating producers can present up to four wines there and engage in conversation with international buyers, sommeliers, specialty retailers, importers, and media representatives. The number of places is limited. After the application deadline, ProWein, together with industry partners and experts, will select participants for the “Discovery Zone” based on predetermined criteria. The size or fame of a winery is not decisive, but rather the alignment with the concept and the potential to provide new impulses for the wine industry.
Requirements include first-time participation in ProWein and the personal presence of the winemaker throughout the entire fair. The participation fee is 2,000 euros. This includes the presentation area with individual brand identification, equipment, service and organizational services, as well as a basic entry in the exhibitor and product database including media flat rate.
