The DOC Prosecco Consortium has reported further volume growth in 2020. According to its figures, the volume produced was 2.8 percent higher than in 2019. For the first time, more than 500 million bottles of Prosecco DOC were produced. The growth was above all increased by the newly introduced Prosecco DOC Rosé, of which a total of 16.8 million bottles were produced, the consortium reports. The rosé has been approved in Italy since May, the EU granted the export license in November.
