The association Primum Familiae Vini (PFV) of twelve historic family wineries has presented its collector's box "Generations Case 2026". It is limited to twelve copies, costs 32,000 euros per box, and contains one bottle each of
Egon Müller – Scharzhofberger Riesling Auslese 2001Each bottle bears the engraved signature of the family member who selected it. In addition to the wines, the purchase opens the opportunity for visits to each of the wineries with exclusive programs and insights that are otherwise not accessible to the public.
The proceeds from the sale will fund the "PFV Prize". This is endowed with 100,000 euros and was established in 2020. It is awarded every two years to outstanding intergenerational family businesses from different cultures and crafts. The "PFV Generations Case" was developed in collaboration with the 2023 award winner, Brun de Vian-Tiran. This family business has been processing Arles-Merino wool, considered the finest wool in Europe and sourced from a protected herd, for eight generations. The box was designed and handcrafted by artisan Thierry Drevelle in Cognac.
