The winegrowers' association "Moseljünger" transforms the river valley into a tasting mile again with the weekend "Mythos Mosel". From June 13 to 15, 129 wineries will showcase their Riesling wines at 31 stations in seven wine towns between Detzen and Wintrich. Among them are internationally renowned winemakers such as Eva Clüsserath, Christina Thanisch, Nik Weis, Clemens Busch, Thomas and Oliver Haag, and Markus Molitor, along with prestigious traditional businesses like Maximin von Schubert and Dr. Loosen. Additionally, newcomers and hidden gems will present their wines. Three stations are dedicated to young talents. This offers guests the opportunity to explore the many facets of Mosel wines along a 20 km stretch of the river.
The opening event will take place on the evening of June 13 as a mini-cruise on the Middle Mosel aboard the MS Princesse Marie-Astrid. Frank Buchholz, Wolfgang Becker, and other top chefs will serve a flying dinner with wines from large bottles. On Saturday and Sunday, the wineries invite tastings from 11 AM to 6 PM. Additionally, around seven-minute helicopter tours along the Mosel will start on both days. On Saturday evening, events related to wine, culinary arts, and music will take place in several locations: from young winemaker parties with live music to kitchen parties and rare wine tastings. Free night buses are available for all evening events. They, along with travel by bus and train within the Trier transport association (VRT), are included in the admission price.
The exact program, participating winemakers, and tickets for all events can be found on the Mythos Mosel website. Tickets are available exclusively online.
