The Bordeaux Château Pontet-Canet has sold out its 2019 vintage within only three hours after the price was announced. At 58 euros ex-château, it is 31 percent cheaper than 2018, when the winery charged 84 euros. "There will not be a second installment, although all Négociants want more," owner Alfred Tesseron told the French magazine "Vitisphere". The winery has been managed organically since 2008. Pontet-Canet was the first winery to announce its bottle price to the beginning En-Primeur campaign.
