Ansgar Galler, owner of the Piwi winery Galler*** in the Pfalz, is closing his business for health reasons. The winemaker has been suffering from alcohol intolerance for over a year and can no longer continue his work.
"At first, I could still taste, but that is no longer possible now. My body is rejecting it. Acknowledging this reality has been so difficult for me. But with each passing day, my body has reacted more violently, and therefore I have now made the decision to hand over the winery," says Galler. He is now looking for a successor, successor, or land interested party.
The winery manages around ten hectares of organic certified vineyard area and specializes in disease-resistant grape varieties such as Sauvignac, Cabernet Blanc, Muscaris, Johanniter, Satin Noir, Pinotin, Cabernet Cantor, and Cabernet Cortis.
The business is known for its innovations, for example, through the introduction of half-liter deposit bottles like beer, which was awarded the "Product Innovation in Glass" prize in 2023.
Currently, the winery is offering its wines at special conditions. Private customers receive a 50 percent discount in the online shop.
