The Zukunftsweine group - according to its self-definition a "movement for more sustainability in viticulture" - has launched a crowdfunding campaign. With this, the Piwi initiative wants to grow further and invest more money in communication. Founded in March 2022 as an association of eleven wineries, Zukunftsweine GmbH wants to "create acceptance and awareness for sustainability in the wine world" and help Piwis gain more recognition and popularity. Increased cultivation of Piwi grape varieties is the best way to drive change in the wine world and achieve climate goals. To achieve this, a "vine revolution" is needed and the aim is to address and educate winegrowers, traders and wine connoisseurs. With the hoped-for 25,000 euros from the crowdfunding, the communication is to be designed "loudly, purposefully and permanently". Supporters can purchase various products or experiences or simply donate. The campaign will run until 11 November 2022.
