Pfalzwein e.V. ruled out participation in the upcoming ProWein at its annual digital press conference this time. "Pfalzwein, like other regional wine advertisements, will not take part in the fair," said Managing Director Joseph Greilinger. It is still unclear at present whether it will take place at all. The Palatinate Wine Advertising Agency intends to focus its marketing in the coming year primarily on a younger target group: With YouTube videos and social media content, the "micro target group" of 25 to 30-year-olds is to be placed at the centre of the work, explained Greilinger.

Already in 2020, due to the Corona crisis, Pfalzwein had shifted many campaigns to the internet and offered online tastings with sommelier Toni Askitis and Palatinate winegrowers, for example. They are intended to appeal to younger wine consumers.
