Petra Neuber will become the new managing director of the Federal Association of Organic Winegrowing (Ecovin) on 1 April 2021. She succeeds Ralph Dejas, who is moving to the Global Nature Fund.
Petra Neuber, 33, has been with Ecovin since April 2020 and was previously responsible for event management and communication. The trained winemaker studied international wine business at the Geisenheim University of Applied Sciences. Her professional stations included Mack & Schühle AG, the online portal jameda and Bergsträßer Winzer. In order to gain deeper insights into the organic sector, she took part in the federal government's trainee programme "Organic Agriculture and Food Management" in recent months.
Neuber's predecessor Ralph Dejas, 48, is going to the Global Nature Fund as a project manager. In future, he will work on projects in environmental protection and development cooperation, initially taking over a mangrove protection project in India and Bangladesh.
