The French-Danish documentary "Terroir - an enjoyable journey into the world of wine" by Danish filmmaker Rasmus Dinesen can now be seen in many art house cinemas after its premiere on 25 May. The 81-minute film (with German subtitles) takes the audience on a pleasurable journey into the world of wine and lets winemakers, sommeliers, star chefs, merchants and scientists in France, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Japan and the USA have their say. In atmospherically staged locations, they talk about their experiences in production, the decisive influences of climate, soil and microbiology as well as in great detail about the perfect pairing of wine and food.

At the same time, Dinesen has edited the film with suspense in many scenes: it seems as if the protagonists are discussing a topic with each other, although each makes his statement in his own environment. Through intelligent editing, however, it often seems like a dialogue. For wine fans, the film might not offer too much new, but it provides exciting, entertaining insights with wonderfully captured landscapes and interesting statements by well-known top winemakers and star chefs.

The film can also be licensed for events, festivals and tastings on the Mindjazz Pictures website.
