The German Agricultural Society (DLG) has awarded the prize for Young Winemaker of the Year 2021 to Nicolas Olinger from the Olinger family's Gebrüder Müller winery in Franconia. For this, Olinger had to prove his expertise and the quality of his wines. Second place went to Manuel Wild from Weingut Wild in Baden, and third place went to Felix Reich, who works as a technical operations manager at the Divino Nordheim Thüngersheim eG winegrowers' cooperative in Franconia. The background to the competition is the targeted promotion of young German winemakers.
