According to a study by Brand Finance, the ten most valuable wine and champagne brands in the world recorded a ten percent loss last year due to the Corona crisis. Responsible for the decline in brand value are above all the closure of the gastronomy and the resulting social distance of the consumers.

The front-runner continues to be Moët et Chandon, although the brand value of the champagne has fallen by eleven percent, while Dom Pérignon is the only brand in the top 10 that even recorded a growth in brand value last year. It achieved a plus of two per cent. In second place is the Chinese brand Changyu, China's leading winery. The Chilean wine brand Concha y Toro is a newcomer to the top 10 list and benefited from sales growth in the UK.

The top 10 list of the world's most valuable wine and champagne brands in full: 1. Moët et Chandon, 2. Changyu, 3. Veuve Clicquot, 4. Chandon, 5. Dom Pérignon, 6. Barefoot, 7. Lindeman's, 8. Beringer, 9. Martini and 10. Concha y Toro.
