The "Power 100" list of the global wine trading platform Liv-ex with the most important top wines on the secondary market shows that understandable pricing policy is rewarded. In 2025, 35 wines recorded rising prices. The previous year, there were only eleven. Wines with reasonable prices, frequent trading, and strong reputation proved to be the most attractive for buyers.

First place is also held by Château Cheval Blanc from Bordeaux, which improved by nine ranks. The Pomerol Château La Conseillante even rose by 89 places. Château Haut-Brion is the only Premier Cru from Bordeaux among the Top Ten. However, it was not the Grand Vin responsible for this, but the Blanc, whose price has risen by over ten percent. Château Rayas from Châteauneuf-du-Pape also made a steep rise of 49 places to rank five. After the death of owner Emmanuel Reynaud at the end of November, demand and thus the price increased extremely strongly.

Tenuta San Guido (Sassicaia, Guidalberto, and Le Difese) improved from third place to second. On average, the prices of this winery rose by 4.5 percent. Chianti and Brunello performed worse than Super-Tuscans like Ornellaia, Masseto, and Tignanello. This is likely mainly due to the withdrawal of US buyers. The previous year's winner Vega Sicilia is also affected, falling to rank 16.

Burgundy recorded the greatest fluctuation of all regions: Nine wines were newly added to the list, but ten fell out. Most of the risers currently cost under 200 euros per bottle. With two newcomers (Selosse, Salon), Champagne matched the previous record of nine brands from 2022. The highest-ranked Californian is Opus One in ninth place. In Liv-ex's conclusion, it states: "Trade not only reduces inflated prices - it also reacts quickly to attractive offers. The wines that developed best and newly entered or rose in the ranking tend to offer high quality at more affordable prices."
