The Vinitaly Special Edition trade fair took place in Verona from 17 to 19 October. In contrast to the normal Vinitaly, which was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, the event was reserved exclusively for trade visitors and, with 12,000 visitors and 400 exhibitors from Italy, was held on a much smaller scale than usual. Despite strict regulations, 2,500 trade visitors from 60 countries came to Verona. The fair management was very positive about this: "This is a result that exceeds our expectations," said the President of VeronaFiere, Maurizio Danese. "Companies, consortia, agricultural associations as well as buyers have unanimously praised the initiative, as many contacts and sales have been generated", Danesi continued.
The next regular edition of Vinitaly will be held in Verona from 10 to 13 April 2022.
