The distillation of Austrian wines due to the Corona crisis will continue without limit. The maximum quantity of wine delivered per farm, previously set at 25,000 and 50,000 litres, has been abolished by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture. The quantity of wine delivered by the individual producers is now unlimited, according to a statement.

The Wolkersdorf cooperative cellar, which has been commissioned with the distillation, is able to purchase up to ten million litres of wine of vintage 2018 and older. The white and red wines must contain at least twelve percent alcohol and be "marketable".
