Around 50 wineries have organised an anniversary programme around the 20th Open Winery Days in Saxony on 24 and 25 August 2019. On two days, the wineries and wine farms will open their doors from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. along the 55-kilometre-long Saxon Wine Route with around 500 hectares of vineyards.

The tourist route combines cultural and historical sights, terraced vineyards and other experiences between Pirna and Diesbar-Seußlitz near Meißen. Along the wine route, everything revolves around wwine grapes, cellar technology and winegrowing craftsmanship. Guided tours through vineyards and wine cellars will make the steps on the way from grape to wine visible. The supporting programme includes exhibitions on "wine and art", activities for children and a varied musical programme.

Instead of travelling by car, the Saxon Elbland Tourism Association recommends using the shuttle buses between Diesbar-Seußlitz and Radebeul, which run until late in the evening. In addition, the two sides of the Elbe will be connected by a shuttle bus service, calling at the wineries in Dresden-Cossebaude and Weistropp. The day ticket price of seven euros includes a glass of wine, which can be redeemed at all participating wineries served by the special buses.
