Jochen Bug has taken over the cellar management of the Hessian State Vineyards Kloster Eberbach**** as of June 1. Bug was already the cellar master at the Eberbach Wine Cooperative and worked at Schloss Vollrads*** since 2017. Now, together with the newly appointed Managing Director Christine Müller (in the picture) starting in early 2026, he is responsible for the strategic and qualitative further development of the winery. The previous Head of Cellar Management at Kloster Eberbach, Kathrin Puff, takes over a newly established staff position as Head of Oenology and Innovation.
At Kloster Eberbach, a strategic realignment and stronger integration with the Kloster Eberbach Foundation, which manages the listed 900-year-old Cistercian monastery, has been underway since 2025 after several years of losses (wein.plus reported).
At Schloss Vollrads, Marc Leitis has taken over the newly created position of Technical Operations Manager. Thus, the previous operations manager of the Lorch winery Graf von Kanitz*** is responsible for the vineyard and cellar.
