The champagne house Bollinger loses its managing director: Jérôme Philipon, who was responsible for Bollinger in Aÿ for twelve years and from 2017 for the holding company Société Jacques Bollinger (SJB) in Paris, will give up his post on 1.1.2020. The 57-year-old manager told "Drinks Business" that his withdrawal had "exclusively personal reasons". He will not take up a position in another company. According to his own statement, Philipon wants to have more time for his family and, in addition, take care of his farm, which he has been running in parallel for many years.

Initially, Étienne Bizot, chairman of the group's board of directors and co-owner, will take over his duties provisionally. According to the report, a new managing director should be found in the course of 2020.

The Bollinger company also owns the Ayala champagne house.
