The Intervitis Interfructa in Stuttgart, international technical trade fair for viticulture, cellar management and distillery technology, will not take place in 2022. As the organisers Messe Stuttgart and the German Winegrowers' Association (DWV) announced, there was a lack of interest and support from leading German companies.
In a statement, the organisers emphasise their efforts to use new concepts "to jointly develop the leading event in Germany as a location for technology and innovation for the winegrowing industry into the No. 1 international meeting place for the sector once again. In the future, an international platform for the industry will certainly be needed, regardless of the location".
Independently of this, the 64th International DWV Congress on "Shaping Change in the Wine Industry Sustainably", which has so far been connected to the trade fair, is to take place in hybrid form from 10 to 12 April in the Congress Centre Stuttgart as well as online.
