In a statement, the Institute of Masters of Wine (IMW) has clearly committed itself to the BlackLivesMatter movement. "We condemn all forms of injustice, whether in the form of racism, prejudice, bias Stereotypes or ignorance", writes the IMW. "We know that it is not enough to make a statement. We have a responsibility to act against structural racism."
Those responsible wanted to reflect and discuss the situation in order to take "meaningful steps as part of the global strategy of the IMW" with the statement. In the coming months, the Institute wants to communicate the statement to its students and the wine community in order to create transparency for the following steps: "The IMW has work to do With this cooperation, the IMW could "be part of the solution".
