The German Wine Institute has donated the entire proceeds of an online tasting of the German Wine Queen Angelina Vogt and the wine princesses Julia Sophie Böcklen and Carolin Hillenbrand to the aid organisation "Wine Saves Life e.V.". This brought in 4,600 euros from the sale of the wines and donations. In May, the Highnesses tasted four to five wines each day of regional grape varieties from the 13 growing regions.

The action took place within the DWI theme weeks #regionalehelden and was followed by about 5,000 followers on Instagram. "The donation will be used one-to-one for children and youth aid projects in disadvantaged regions of the world," explained Joachim Binz, Chairman of "Wine Saves Life e.V.
