After nine years at the helm of Moselwein e.V., Rolf Haxel from Cochem has resigned as chairman. The members elected Henning Seibert from Bernkastel-Kues as his successor. He is chairman of the board of the Moselland winegrowers' cooperative and has served on the board of Moselwein e.V. since 2015. Since 2018, he had held the post of first deputy chairman of the wine promotion. New to the board is winegrowers' president Walter Clüsserath from Pölich, who was appointed the new second deputy chairman by the assembly.

The budget for 2021 was unanimously approved by the general meeting. In 2020, expenses of about 930,000 euros were countered by income of about 1.03 million euros, explained the commercial manager Christian Laros. Last year, Moselwein e.V. received around 750,000 euros from the winegrowers' wine promotion levies as part of project funding by the state. The association's other income came from membership fees, event proceeds and the sale of advertising material.

The Mosel Wine Association has around 1,100 members from the wine-growing region from Perl to Koblenz and beyond. Winegrowing businesses and wineries make up the largest part with over 800 members. In addition, around 100 wine-growing communities as well as districts, association communities, the winegrowers' cooperative and wineries, commission agents, catering businesses and cultural and wine ambassadors support the association.
