The German Wine Institute (DWI) has presented the wines selected by a jury for the Berlinale, the International Film Festival in Berlin. From 10 to 20 February 2022, the Berlinale is to take place as a presence event and welcome stars from all over the world. At all official Berlinale events, 21 German wines and sparkling wines will be served exclusively. The organisers will thus have a selection of 17 white and red wines and four vintner's sparkling winesat their disposal. For the duration of the Berlinale, the DWI will once again cooperate with the wine trade in the capital. Upon presentation of their admission ticket, festival visitors will receive a discount on the purchase of a Berlinale wine package with three bottles of wine from Germany at selected retailers.
"With our involvement in the Berlinale, we want to build a bridge between film culture and German wine culture, which many - especially international - filmmakers are not yet familiar with," said DWI managing director Monika Reule.
