The German winegrowers are waiting for ice wine. So far, 628 businesses in Rhineland-Palatinate have registered production on 532 hectares, the Chamber of Agriculture in Bad Kreuznach reports. In recent years there were only 24 wineries on 19 ha of vineyards at the same time. The reason for the enormous interest is the good harvest and the excellent, healthy condition of the berries so far.
