The editors of the German Gault&Millau have decided to postpone the publication of the restaurant guide until spring 2022. Until now, it has been presented in November each year. The testers have been on the road in the restaurants for five months.

"Seven months of the Corona lockdown (...) have changed a lot of things in the German quality gastronomy in the long term. We want to take the time to test in peace, to weigh things up thoroughly and to think about how we can depict the gastronomic landscape in Germany in its now so fascinating diversity and quality - at the top as well as in the breadth - even better for our readers," is how editor-in-chief Christoph Wirtz justified the move.

Gault&Millau has been part of the Hubert Burda Media group since May 2020.
