Frescobaldi will open its own sales office in Bordeaux for its Masseto, Ornellaia, Tenuta Luce and CastelGiocondo wineries. From there, the group wants to strengthen its international distribution networks. Frenchman Patrick Lachapèle will take over the management of the office. Lachapèle previously worked in Asia as export manager for Baron Philippe de Rothschild, where he was also responsible for sales for Ornellaia and Tenuta Luce. Frescobaldi had already started to distribute its wines via the Place de Bordeaux marketplace in 2009. "The past years at Place de Bordeaux were a first step to check the potential development of sales. Now the next logical step is to open a representative office in Bordeaux" said Giovanni Geddes da Filicaja, CEO of the Frescobaldi Group.
The new office is expected to start operations in the first quarter of 2022.
