Cava producer Freixenet has sold its Henri Abelé champagne house in Reims to the large cooperative Centre Vinicole Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte. This was reported in the French media. The purchase price is not known. Nicolas Feuillatte is one of the top-selling producers in Champagne with a turnover of around 200 million euros. The reason for the sale is probably the consolidation strategy of Freixenet in the course of the merger with Henkell & Co. Several Bodegas owned by Cava House were not integrated into the new group during the merger.
