Entrepreneur Régis Vincenot is building a 46 million euro luxury wine resort in Parnay on the Loire. Vincenot already owns the two wine estates Château Princé and Château de Parnay in Anjou-Saumur and is now adding a resort to his estates that is to set new standards in terms of wine tourism. A comprehensive offer for different needs will be created on site. A gourmet restaurant, a bistro and a snack bar are planned, as well as three accommodations for overnight stays: A luxury hotel in the former 15th century castle, suites in the outbuildings and rooms in the tufa cave cellars typical of the Saumur region. The complex will also feature a 700-square-metre spa, several seminar rooms, a large circular path through the vineyard islands with children's playgrounds. He is also having an underground adventure trail developed that tells the story of the wine-making process from grape to bottle. Construction work has already begun, and the opening is planned for the end of 2024, beginning of 2025. Régis Vincenot currently expects 150,000 visitors a year.
