Bordeaux 2020 prices have continued to rise over the course of the en-primeur campaign. After a moderate start in May, where Château Cheval Blanc, among others, hardly changed its price compared to the 2019, each subsequent week brought higher average prices. For example, in the second week of the campaign, the tariffs for red wines were raised by 9 per cent compared to the 2019s, which were quite cheap due to the Corona pandemic, by 12 per cent in the third, by 16 per cent in the fourth and finally by 29.5 per cent last week. Premiers Crus like Mouton Rothschild, Haut-Brion as well as Super Seconds like Smith-Haut-Lafitte, Montrose and Palmer were offered up to 50 percent more expensive - but often in smaller quantities.

In general, 2020 is considered an excellent year for Bordeaux, on par with 2019 and 2018. There are still some wines from these years available at retailers.
