Benjamin de Rothschild, a French wine entrepreneur from the Edmond de Rothschild banking dynasty, has died at the age of 57 in his home country Switzerland. He succumbed to a heart attack. The group of companies of the same name, of which he was owner and president, includes wine estates in France, South America and New Zealand as well as cooperations, for instance, with the Rupert family in South Africa as well as Vega Sicilia in Rioja. The company holds a share in Château Lafite and is owner of Château Clarke, Médoc.
