The German Wine Institute (DWI) and the German Wine Fund (DWF) have introduced the new funding program "Wine Impulses". With this, they aim to support the stationary wine specialty trade and gastronomy in Germany. The goal is to attract new target groups for German wines through creative event formats and to increase the visibility of domestic products in the country.

"With 'Wine Impulses', we are making a statement for the diversity and quality of German wines. Especially specialty dealers and restaurateurs make an important contribution with their events to pass on these values to a broad audience," explains Andreas Kaul, head of the Trade and Gastronomy Department at the DWI. "We want to make this commitment visible and promote it specifically."

Wine tastings, themed evenings, or wine menus that are publicly accessible and place German wines in the spotlight can now receive financial support. Only events that are organized and executed by the applying business itself will be funded. Eligible to apply are stationary specialty dealers and gastronomic businesses based in Germany. The funding amounts to 50 percent of the event costs, with a maximum of 1,000 euros per business per year.

Further information and application documents are available at www.deutscheweine.de/wi .
