Winemaker Jochen Dreissigacker from Bechtheim (Rheinhessen) is entering the NFT (Non-Fungible Token) business. With the "Legends" NFT worth 1,800 euros, wine lovers acquire the right to purchase one of 300 magnum bottles of his top wine "2017 Legends" as well as access to the "Dreissigacker Selected Circle", whose membership is limited to 300 people.

According to the winery, in addition to the right to purchase wine, NFT buyers receive access to high-quality gourmet events with top chefs such as Tim Raue, as well as tastings organised especially for members at the winery, invitations to the harvest and pre-purchase rights to selected wines from Dreissigacker.

Most of the currently traded NFTs are purely digital assets. Dreissigacker, on the other hand, wants to "bridge the gap between the analogue and digital worlds" with its offer and thus break "new ground in wine trading". Buyers could thus decide for themselves whether to wait for the wine to be delivered or use the waiting time to trade their NFT worldwide. Rights to purchase artworks have also been bought and sold in this way for some time.

An NFT is a digitally created, tamper-proof asset that buyers hold in an individually created crypto-wallet. NFTs can be bought and sold worldwide via digital trading platforms.
