The Spanish white wine growing region Rueda has recorded a sales increase of 15 percent for the 2020 vintage. This was announced by the local association. According to this, the most important Spanish white wine export region is continuing the upswing of the past years.
Currently, Rueda wines are available in 94 countries. In the past 20 years, domestic consumption has doubled. During this period, it has risen from about 15 per cent to currently 30 per cent of total wine consumption. Rueda wines now account for 40 percent of the white wines with designation of origin consumed in Spain.
