The Palatinate winegrowers' cooperatives Deutsches Weintor in Ilbesheim with 650 ha of cultivated area and Weinkontor Edenkoben with 100 ha want to merge. This is reported by the "Weinwirtschaft". After the talks between the responsible persons of both cooperatives, the respective members will vote on it in the coming weeks.
In Edenkoben, the name "Weinkontor" is to be retained as well as the winery, business premises, vinotheque and the well-running gastronomy. According to "Weinwirtschaft", there has been speculation in the Palatinate for some time about a takeover or merger of Weinkontor Edenkoben with a larger cooperative.
