According to media reports, the Grand Cru Classé wine estate Château Cos Labory in Saint-Estèphe has changed its owner. According to "La revue du vin de France", the Audoy family sold the vineyard to their neighbour Michel Reybier from Château Cos d'Estournel, the former sister vineyard of Cos Labory, due to a lack of descendants. The purchase price is not known.

Château Cos Labory is one of the few classified wine estates in the Médoc that is still privately owned. The Audoy family bought it in 1958. Co-owner Bernard Audoy confirmed at the beginning of March that he and his brothers want to sell the whole estate. In total, this comprises 34 hectares of vineyards in the Saint-Estèphe appellation - the 18 hectares of Château Cos Labory, Grand Cru Classé since 1855, as well as the 16 hectares of Château Andron Blaquet, one of the oldest wine estates in Saint-Estèphe, which the Audoy family had acquired in 1971.

With the purchase of Cos Labory, the historic vineyard of Château Cos d'Estournel, as it existed at the time of its 1855 classification, will be restored.
