The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (CMB) is to be held at the Luxembourg Exhibition Centre from 21 to 23 May 2021, despite the Corona restrictions. The organisers' plan to hold the CMB 2021 in Ningxia (China) has been postponed to next year due to the pandemic, according to a press release. In addition, from 4 to 6 March 2021 in L'Aquila in the Italian region of Abruzzo, a separate competition is planned for the first time only for rosés from all over the world.

The organiser, Vinopres in Brussels, wants to take up "the constantly increasing interest of consumers in rosé wines". The deadline for registration for the "Rosé Selection" is 18 February, for the CMB main competition 18 March 2021.

For the tastings in the exhibition centre and the excursions to the wineries, the same health protection concept applies that already made the CMB 2020 in Brno / Brünn possible at the beginning of September last year, despite Corona. This time too, due to the pandemic, only tasters from Europe would be invited.

Producers from all over the world usually submit more than 9,000 wines to the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. This makes the event one of the largest in the world.
