The Chilean wine producer Concha y Toro has transformed its research laboratory in Talca into a test centre for Covid-19. This was announced by the winery. It has now been certified for this purpose by the University of Maule. The laboratory and its scientists now have the capacity to evaluate about 2,300 Covid-19 tests daily. For this purpose, it has lent further equipment to other institutions in order to increase their test capacities.
In addition, the large producer with an area of around 4,500 hectares of vineyards has donated around 50,000 litres of disinfectant to health authorities, organisations and medical centres.
