Henri-Frédéric Roch, co-director of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and owner of the Domaine Prieuré-Roch, has died at the age of 56. This was reported in the French daily newspapers. He took over the responsibility at Romanée-Conti in 1992, when his brother Charles - previously also co-director there - died in a car accident. Until 1991, his aunt Lalou Bize-Leroy was also active there in this capacity.
The Domaine Prieuré-Roch in Nuits-Saint-Georges, which he founded in 1988, is also one of the most renowned wineries in Burgundy. How things will continue there and at Romanée-Conti is currently open. There is intense speculation about the subject in the French media.
