The family of French billionaire Francois Pinault is taking over Maisons & Domaines Henriot into his Artémis Domaines group. Pinault will own three quarters of the group. With the merger of the two family businesses, the brands Champagne Henriot, Bouchard Pere & Fils (Burgundy), William Fevre (Chablis) as well as Beaux Frères in Oregon will be added to the already existing Pinault wineries Château Latour, Clos de Tart and Domaine d'Eugenie. Artémis Domaines thus owns top domains in Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne. In a statement, the merger is said to be "a guarantee that a French group will ensure the long-term preservation" of these prestigious brands and their viticultural heritage. At the beginning of 2022, Artémis Domaines acquired a minority share in the Jacquesson Champagne house *****. In addition, the auction house Christie's is part of Henriot's holdings.
