The Grand Cru Classé Château du Tertre in Margaux has been sold to the Helfrich family of entrepreneurs. Jospeh Helfrich is the owner and president of the wine group Grand Chais de France, the largest private wine producer in France with about 3,000 ha of vineyards. Previously, rumours were that it had been taken over by a French insurance group. So far, it belonged to the Jegersma family, who are also owners of Château Giscours in Margaux as well as the Italian Caiarossa wine estate. In the future, they want to focus on the work with Giscours. The purchase price has not been disclosed.
