The Argentine wine producer Catena Zapata has been voted "The World’s Most Admired Wine Brand" for the second consecutive time. Second place goes to Antinori from Italy, which, like the third-placed winery Familia Torres*** from Spain, improved by two places. Europe dominates the list, providing 36 of the top 50. France, Italy, and Spain are particularly well represented, while Germany and Austria are not represented at all.
Three brands are new to the list: Scala Dei from Spain, Nyetimber from the UK, and Juvé & Camps from Spain as the highest-ranked newcomer. The most improved is Ornellaia in 16th place, after being ranked 50th in 2025. For the twelfth consecutive time, Ridge is the most respected wine brand from North America, coming in at 34th place.
"The World’s Most Admired Wine Brand" is chosen by a jury of sommeliers, buyers, wholesalers, Masters of Wine, and industry journalists, and published by the magazine Drinks International. The experts, who have no commercial ties to the wineries, evaluate, among other things, the consistent quality of the wines, the price-performance ratio, marketing, as well as sustainability and social engagement. The composition of the jury is changed annually to ensure fair results.
