The California Wine Institute wants to bring more Californian wines into German restaurants and wine bars with a sponsoring campaign. 50 establishments will receive 500 euros and a free advertising campaign, plus they will be involved in social media campaigns with competitions. A wine trip to California will also be raffled off among the participants.
For this, the businesses must have at least two wines from California on their own wine list. They should be offered by the glass, in the bottle and as an accompaniment to the menu. The offer must last for a fortnight, the minimum order quantity is 60 bottles.
